CAMBA is proud to be part of Shine a Light on Flatbush, a new public art initiative led by the Church-Flatbush Community Alliance (CFCA) that celebrates the people, culture, and creativity of Flatbush.
Launched on June 25, 2026 and running through summer 2027, the project will bring creative lighting and community events to the area near the Church Avenue B/Q subway station on East 18th Street. Developed through community feedback, the initiative features a mural made from photos submitted by Flatbush residents, CAMBA’s archives, and students from the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism at Erasmus, along with artistic lighting installations and window treatments.
This vibrant project highlights the stories, memories, and identity of Flatbush while helping create a more welcoming and connected public space. CAMBA is honored to contribute to an effort that uplifts the neighborhood and reflects the voices of the community.
