We are excited to share that earlier this month, 30 young people from our Penn-Wortman Cornerstone and Brownsville In Violence Out (BIVO) North and South programs participated in the 54th Annual Legislative Youth Conference in Albany.
The event, organized by the New York State Association of Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislators, Inc., provided a unique platform for our youth to engage in meaningful discussions on policies affecting their communities.
During the conference, CAMBA youth joined more than 500 peers in workshops and forums focused on healthcare inequities, housing insecurities, criminal justice reform, and educational disparities.
During the Youth Summit, they engaged in activities and watched performances designed to inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders. We are incredibly proud of these young leaders and remain dedicated to providing opportunities that foster their growth and development.
