1 Part-time Morning ABE/GED Language Instructor Needed

CAMBA seeks a part-time GED language instructor to work in person at its Education Center, located at 955 Flatbush Avenue – Brooklyn, N.Y. The work schedule is 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday. Candidates must have a B.A/B.S. in education or a related field; Masters preferred. Candidates must have taught ABE/GED/TASC preparation for at least 2 years and must have experience working with low income and/or ethnically diverse populations. For this position, the ability to effectively teach standard English grammar, reading comprehension skills (via Literature, Science, and Social Studies passages), plus informative/argumentative essay writing skills to adults and young adults is a must. Applicants with experience in computer-assisted instruction, who are self-starters, and highly organized are preferred.
