Part-time Afternoon English Instructors Needed for Beginning Learners
CAMBA needs 2 ESOL instructors to teach part-time in person and on site at its Education Center, located at 10 Snyder Avenue – Brooklyn, N.Y. The work schedule is 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. It is required that candidates have at least a BA/BS in education or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as an ESOL instructor; MA/MS preferred. Candidates must be familiar with Internet resources of relevance to English learners and be able to integrate technology and workplace skills into classroom instruction. Applicants with experience in computer-assisted instruction, who are self-starters, and highly organized are preferred. In order to be hired for this position, applicants will need to do a 45-to-60-minute teaching demonstration in one of our current ESOL classes. Also, applicants will need to submit required contact information for 3 current/former job supervisors for professional reference purposes. CAMBA does not accept references from family members, friends, relatives, or colleagues.

Compensation: – $35.36. hourly
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status: – Part-time (12 hours per week)
