CAMBA’s Human Resources (HR) Department manages all aspects of human resources and administrative functions such as onboarding, employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, interviewing, hiring new staff in accordance with all regulatory policies and requirements, and performance measurement/appraisal. The Human Resources Department’s goals are to enhance employee morale and productivity, limit job turnover, effectively use employee skills/knowledge/abilities, provide training and development opportunities to improve those skills, and increase employees’ job satisfaction.

What the Recruiting Coordinator Does:

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operations and efficiency of the Talent Acquisition function of CAMBA’s Human Resources department.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities related to recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of CAMBA employees, interns, and volunteers to assist the Talent Acquisition team in all aspects of the hiring process to fill open positions and meet CAMBA’s workforce needs and goals.
  • Develop job postings, post open positions to appropriate posting sources, and manage job postings to ensure accurate information is listed and removed when filled.
  • Review resumes and refer selected applicants to Recruiters or program hiring managers for consideration.
  • Conduct phone screenings with job candidates for specific positions and coordinate interviews, as needed.
  • Facilitate the movement of candidates through the hiring process and maintain consistent communication with candidates, program staff, and Recruiters.
  • Complete the reference and employment verification process, and follow-up with candidates and references as needed.
  • Follow onboarding procedures for CAMBA hires, including criminal background checks, education/ professional licensure verification, fingerprinting and/or clearances, health testing, and other procedures as required by the position, program, or funder.
  • Facilitate onboarding paperwork with candidates, ensure all paperwork is received and completed accurately, and schedule new hires for orientation.
  • Ensure new hire files are prepared with all required documents in compliance with CAMBA policy, funder requirements, and local, state and federal law.
  • Submit MIS requests for new hire account set-up.
  • Assist in preparation of employment packages for new employee orientations.
  • Provide event support, attend job fairs, and conduct community outreach in order to expand CAMBA’s recruitment reach.
  • Respond to requests and questions from both candidates and program staff.
  • Manage volunteer documentation and tracking system.
  • Prepare Purchase Request Forms, Payment Request Forms, and other fiscal reports and documentation, as needed.
  • Utilize multiple internal tracking systems and prepare candidate status reports on a weekly basis.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability and willingness to multi-task and use time efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: $42,500 annually
Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
