The Broadway House Women’s Shelter located in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn serves 165 women, approximately 37 of whom are MICA. ?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of social services staff and services in accordance with program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols; including the following:
Develop workshop curriculum for Recreation Coordinator, Adult Literacy Specialist and Employment Specialist programming components.
Develop community based resources and supports towards agency housing and engagement efforts.
Conduct field visits to increase community and citywide resources.
Create and implement incentive system to increase client participation in on-site and community activities.
Plan and organize program activities to maximize program contract’s goals and performance targets.
?MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.) and two years of applicable experience; Master’s Degree preferred. (A license is required of these Master’s Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).
May be required to become First Aid/CPR certified.
May be required to become certified in overdose prevention.
Flexible hours, possibly one day on weekend.
