This December, CAMBA’s Penn-Wortman Cornerstone received a generous donation from The Home Depot that brought a meaningful boost to youth and families in our community.
Our team was able to purchase a large set of bicycles and scooters to distribute to community members of all ages. Mr. Reggie, Penn-Wortman Program Director, secured 24 bicycles along with 18 scooters suitable for young children, teens, and adults—helping ensure that more families have access to safe, fun, and active ways to get around.
On December 10, members of The Home Depot team visited the Penn-Wortman Cornerstone Center for a special bike assembly event. Their volunteers worked alongside CAMBA staff to build and prepare every bicycle and scooter for distribution, ensuring each one was ready to ride.
After a successful bike assembly event in December, in January, Penn-Wortman Cornerstone Center distributed the 24 bicycles and 18 scooters to youth and families in the community through this generous donation from The Home Depot.
This partnership helped ensure that young people of various ages had access to safe and active recreational opportunities. This donation will have a lasting impact—supporting healthy activity, outdoor play, and transportation access for families throughout the neighborhood.
We are grateful to The Home Depot for their continued community engagement and commitment to giving back. Partnerships like this make it possible for CAMBA to expand opportunities and deliver resources that strengthen our communities.
Thank you for helping us make the holiday season brighter—and more mobile—for the families we serve.
