Homelessness, even for a short time, has a devastating long-term impact on children and adults who can no longer afford to live in their apartments, or are evicted for numerous other reasons. In 2022, CAMBA’s Homelessness Prevention programs kept 99.7% of high-risk/very high-risk clients from entering shelters and in their homes.
Services include emergency food and utilities, job training and job placement, informal and formal mediation, budget counseling and advocacy, including referrals to Public Assistance, legal and other supportive services so clients remain housed and stable, avoiding the shelter system.
CAMBA can help keep you in your home. We can mediate disputes with your landlord or advocate for benefits you may be owed as a tenant. We offer budgeting and emergency or short-term financial assistance. CAMBA can also refer you to support programs, like public assistance, or provide preventative health care and job training services to ensure your housing stability.
