Brooklyn YAS Coalition

Brooklyn YAS is committed to creating community-level change to prevent substance misuse in LGBTQIA+ youth in Brooklyn, specifically in the neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Flatbush, East Flatbush, Bed-Stuy, East New York, Bushwick, and Williamsburg. We are a coalition of organizations, agencies, businesses, parents, and LGBTQIA+ youth that works to support LGBTQIA+ youth. We seek to promote safe, affirming spaces, instill physical and psychological safety, reduce family conflict and rejection, and increase community attachment for LGBTQIA+ youth by applying environmental prevention strategies.
