Healthy Families Program

Healthy Families offers voluntary home visiting services to pregnant or newly parenting families.  The services help parents with the changes that come along with pregnancy and the birth of a child, provide education that helps them understand and support their child’s development, as well as identify financial or emotional stress and other family risk factors that may exist in prenatal and postnatal. CAMBA provides referrals in the community to address concerns as needed. In 2023, the Healthy Families program served 133 families, completed 1,421 home visits with clients throughout the year, and provided 250 referrals for family support, social services, mental health counseling, and support, along with job readiness services.  Clients also have access to CAMBA’s emergency food pantry as well as donated clothes, toys, and books.  CAMBA’s partnership with the Brooklyn Diaper Project has also been invaluable, serving more than 2,000 families in Brooklyn and providing more than 81,000 diapers to families in need over the past three years.

Healthy Families is funded by the NY Office of Children and Family Services and U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration MIECHV program.
