iCare Program

The iCare program (Initiating Change Around Reproductive Education) works with women before, during, and after pregnancy to educate and empower women regarding health care and reproductive decision-making. In addition to providing educational workshops and support groups, CAMBA Community Health Workers identify individual needs and connect clients to quality health care and other resources for their health and well-being. In 2023, CAMBA served 186 clients and helped mothers welcome 80 babies. 80% of the new mothers initiated breastfeeding, which provides ideal nutrition and antibodies that help protect infants from illness.

iCare is funded by the NY State Department of Health.
