Refugee Assistance Program

CAMBA’s Refugee Assistance Program offers eligible individuals and families* for Office of Refugee Resettlement benefits ongoing, wrap-around support to assist them in their cultural adjustment and with reaching economic and social self-sufficiency.  Services include:

  • Case management
  • Navigating social services and benefits
  • Employment preparation
  • Employment placement
  • English classes
  • Financial Education
  • Physical and Mental Health Services 
  • Short-term Emergency Food Assistance 
  • Temporary Rental Assistance 
  • Legal services
  • Security Guard training
  • OSHA for Construction and HVAC training

These programs are funded by the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants via ORR.

Eligibility: Refugees, Granted Asylees, Afghan and Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees, Cuban and Haitian Entrants, Iraqi and Afghan SIVs, Amerasians, and VOTs within five years of status. Must be residents of NYS.
