Refugee and Asylee Assistance Program

              

CAMBA’s Refugee and Asylee Assistance Program provides refugees and political asylees in New York City who face cultural and language barriers to employment with opportunities to obtain jobs and training and improve their English skills. Services include:

  • Case management
  • Employment placement
  • English classes
  • Fast Track job readiness preparation
  • Legal services
  • Professional training classes in customer service
  • Security Guard
  • OSHA for construction and HVAC training
  • Transitional and work supports

This program is funded by the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.

Eligibility: Refugees and asylees Afghan, Cuban, Haitian parolees and human trafficking victims arriving within the last 5 years up to US citizenship.
