School-Based Early Support

Empowering families and promoting children’s well-being within the school environment is at the core of CAMBA’s School-Based Early Support Program, a collaborative initiative with ACS that extends beyond the initial partner schools (PS. 361, PS.139, Huddie JHS) to encompass families across School District 22 to empower them and promote their children’s well-being within the school environment.

The program focuses on practical solutions to everyday challenges families face. By working together, families, school staff, and service providers can identify and address issues that impact a child’s safety and well-being.

  • Family Support: The SBES Program helps families navigate government entitlements, address the academic concerns of their children, and connect them with supportive services and programs. We also offer assistance with emergency goods and services to ensure families have the resources they need to thrive.
  • Parenting Education: The SBES program empowers parents through workshops, support groups, and the Triple P Positive Parenting Program.
  • Collaboration: We work hand-in-hand with families and school staff to ensure a child’s success. This includes offering school- and community-based events and workshops to foster a supportive environment.

This program, funded by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, empowers families to be active partners in their children’s education and well-being.

Eligibility:  Families with children aged 0-18 who live in School District 22 or attend PS. 361, PS. 139 or Huddie JHS
