Every Spring CAMBA Partners with NYCRUNS – for one of Brooklyn’s largest races, held in Brooklyn’s beautiful Prospect Park. This year the race, like everything else, will be different. It will take place again in Prospect Park starting at 7:00 am with waves of 50 socially distanced runners at 30 minute intervals until noon. For the safety of all involved, it will be a smaller race and there will not be the usual gathering after the race. While the race might be smaller, the need of those must vulnerable in our communities continues to grow at an alarming rate. You can help us meet their needs!
When you fundraise for this race, you will be supporting essential programs like our Beyond Hunger Food Pantry which has seen a 500% increase in the number of meals provided monthly. Your fundraising helps make it possible for CAMBA to keep families facing homelessness from being evicted, brings literacy classes and job training programs for immigrants and low-income adults, and supports college prep programs to ensure young people are on track for a successful future. Your support also helps students stay engaged and excel academically and, later, go on to enroll in college and many other life-improving programs. At this race, you have the opportunity to be the captain of your own fundraising team or join another team. Join us this spring in racing for CAMBA. Together we can build a better Brooklyn!
