On April 5th, our generous partners at AppleBank led a financial literacy workshop for 55 young people at CAMBA’s Van Dyke Cornerstone.
BIVO participants learned how to manage money, understand savings, and make smart financial decisions. Several youth even opened their very first bank accounts during the session.
Financial literacy workshops are essential for empowering young people with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions. As they begin to navigate real-world responsibilities—like managing budgets, handling credit, saving for the future, and avoiding debt—early education in personal finance can set the foundation for lifelong financial well-being.
These workshops demystify complex topics, foster confidence, and help prevent costly mistakes. In a world where financial choices are increasingly tied to long-term stability and success, equipping youth with this knowledge is not just beneficial—it’s vital.
Earlier this year, AppleBank helped CAMBA unveil a new fitness room at the Van Dyke Cornerstone.
We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with AppleBank in providing meaningful opportunities like these to help our young people thrive.
