CAMBA’s Healthy Families program recently accomplished a major system-wide achievement: the successful re-accreditation of the Healthy Families America/New York (HFA/HFNY) program. In 2024, CAMBA was selected as one of only 15 sites statewide to receive an in-depth peer review visit as part of the Healthy Families New York system’s re-accreditation, the largest system within the national Healthy Families America network.
The accreditation process spans nearly a year and includes an intensive self-study, a multi-day on-site peer review, and a formal response process. The CAMBA Healthy Families team completed a comprehensive review of policies, procedures, equity planning, staff development, and service delivery to demonstrate strong alignment with Healthy Families America’s Best Practice Standards.
During a three-day site visit, national peer reviewers met with staff, families, and advisory group members and conducted in-depth reviews of program documentation and practices. The result was a successful re-accreditation, affirming the high-quality, family-centered services CAMBA provides every day.
