Case Management

At the Adult Education and Career Center, we do more than help people speak English or earn a high school equivalency diploma. Classes are contextualized to New York City (NYC) job sectors where qualified employees are in demand.

You’ll be involved in lessons that address and prepare you for workplace situations. We’ll help you get the right information and learn what you need to secure the type of job and career you’re interested in. Our staff members collaborate with other city professionals to help you create your resume, compose cover letters, and prepare for job interviews.

We also have strong partnerships with NYC colleges and training programs and will help you determine your eligibility, choose and apply to additional educational and professional programs.

As part of CAMBA’s network of holistic services, you’ll work with a case manager to develop your own Career Pathway that identifies long term career goals and the steps you need to take to achieve your personal goals. In addition to educational and career services, case managers can help students solve any pressing socio-economic problems that are obstacles to their success. This may include obstacles related to food, housing, clothing, childcare, immigration, and/or employment.

Education services at the CAMBA Education Center are made possible thanks to funding by the New York State Education Department’s Adult Career and Continuing Education Services and by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development.
