English for Speakers of Other Languages

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program serves immigrants. Our services seek to enhance students’ listening, speaking, reading, writing, and math skills. CAMBA also provides computer-assisted technology training and instruction in civics and U.S. History.

Classes are held from 9 am to 12 noon, 1 pm to 4 pm, and 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (Monday through Friday) and are generally taught by full-time, professional instructors.

The NYS Education Department and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development fund this program.

Eligibility: NYC residents/workers (primarily Flatbush and East Flatbush). Participants must be 16 or older, do not have a high school diploma or an equivalent from the United States, and are not currently enrolled or planning to enroll in secondary school.
